DPW uses the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar on Outlook to appropriately plan for staffing and counter hours coverage.
How to use the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar:
For all leave time (vacation, comp time, OT, sick)
- Employee emails supervisors with leave request (or notifies supervisors they are out sick, earned comp time/OT, etc.)
- Upon approval of leave request, employee sends email to designated PW payroll employee so that they can add it to the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar
- At the conclusion of a pay period, prior to closing their timesheet, employee should be making sure leave entered on the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar matches their timesheet.
- Email PWAdmin if it does not align, so that we can update the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar accordingly.
- Admin and Division Supervisors will be approving timesheets by checking whether the leave, OT, etc. you entered on your timesheet matches the PW Admin/Engr Leave Calendar.
- If it does not match, we will have to email you and your supervisor to confirm.
- Help us out and save that time consuming step by checking that your timesheet matches the Leave Calendar before you close your timesheet!
