Open Enrollment Happening NOW through October 31, 2024

Posted on October 3, 2024

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to make changes to your benefits. This year is a bit different than the past because we’re providing all employees with a statement of their current benefits enrollment and asking them to acknowledge if everything should stay the same or if they’d like to make changes. You’ll see which dependents you have enrolled for medical, dental, and/or vision, as well as what the cost will be for your plans in 2025.

If everything looks good, and you don’t need to make a change, you’ll just check a box, sign, and return the form to us, and if you want to make a change, we’ll help you fill out the appropriate forms to do so.

It’s really important to take advantage of the open enrollment window to make changes. If you miss this opportunity you can’t make any changes through the year unless you have a qualifying life event like  getting married, having a child, losing coverage through your spouse, etc.

Human Resources is hosting Open Enrollment Drop-In Sessions so we can answer all your questions! We’ll be at the Public Safety Center on October 8th from 7:30am – 10am, and then across the street at City Hall from 10am – 1pm. We’ll be at Public Works on October 15th from 1pm – 4pm.

Come ask us questions about benefits, or just drop in to say hi. We’ll have pumpkins for everyone to decorate – if you decorate a pumpkin, we’ll enter you into a raffle to win a prize at the upcoming Halloween Costume Contest on October 31st.
