This year, City Hall and other non-safety services will be closed to the public but available for appointments upon request from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026 (Recreation centers will be closed January 3 and 4). We will resume all non-safety services on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Employees who wish to take this time off can do so using Vacation or any other appropriate type of leave. Please follow your department’s procedures for requesting this time off. You can also work your regular hours but will not be required to respond to phone calls or other requests from the public, except for emergencies.
- All Fire/Paramedic and Police services will remain open and fully staffed during this time. Emergency services will still be provided to the public during this time, including Public Works and Sanitation District crews who will be monitoring emergency maintenance requests.
- Some Childcare centers will be operational during this time and hosting winter break camps.
- The Parking Services administrative offices at City Hall will close at noon on December 24 and reopen on December 29. They will close at noon on December 31 and reopen on January 5, 2026.
- Parking Services offices at the Al Boro Community Center will be closed from December 22 through January 2 and reopen on January 5th.
- Parking Enforcement will be operating normally with enforcement taking place every day except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
All departments should help inform the public of closure through signage and other outreach via the City website, social media, etc.
