Dear City Employees,
This year, City Hall and other non-safety services will be closed to the public but available for appointments upon request from December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd. We will resume all non-safety services on Monday, January 6, 2025.
All fire/paramedic services and police functions will remain open and fully staffed during this time. Emergency services will still be provided to the public during this time, including Public Works and Sanitation District crews who will be monitoring emergency maintenance requests.
The Parking Services Administrative offices at City Hall will operate under normal business hours on December 24th, December 26th, December 31st, and January 2nd. Offices at the Boro Center will be closed from December 23rd through January 3rd and reopen on January 6th. Parking Enforcement will be operating normally with enforcement taking place every day except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
All departments should help inform the public of this closure through signage and other outreach via the City website, social media, etc. You can start by adding the following to your email signature:

Employees who wish to take this time off can do so using vacation or any other appropriate type of leave. Please follow your department’s procedures for requesting this time off. You can also work your regular hours but will not be required to respond to phone calls or other requests from the public, except for emergencies.
Each year, the City evaluates whether to close or remain open during the holiday week. Please contact your supervisor with any questions or concerns about the holiday closure.
