San Rafael Police Mid-Management Association (SRPMMA) Employee Group Benefits

Benefits January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

This list is not exhaustive of all benefits for the SRPMMA employee group.

Visit the Memorandum of Understanding to read in detail about all benefits. The current MOU covers July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2027.

Health Benefits

Medical City group health coverage, with the City paying a fixed dollar amount (below) toward the cost of the monthly insurance premium.

  • Employee only: $950.00
  • Employee plus one: $1,900.00
  • Family: $2,400.00

Dental Premium fully paid for employee plus eligible dependents.
Vision Premium fully paid for employee. Employee pays for family coverage.

Leave Benefits

Vacation srpmma
Sick 1 day per month (hours accrue each pay period)
Administrative 80 hours per year, prorated if hired after the first of the year
Holidays 13 paid City holidays
Bereavement Up to 5 days paid leave
Paid Parental Leave (if eligible) Up to 300 hours paid leave. SRMMEA employees also contribute to State Disability Insurance (SDI)
End of Life Care Leave Up to 80 hours paid leave

Retirement

Marin County Retirement System

(MCERA)

Enrollment in the MCERA pension plan, a defined benefit retirement program

Safety Members

  • Tier 2 (hired on or after 7/1/2011): 3% @ 55, Average of 3 highest years
  • Tier 3 PEPRA (hired on or after 1/1/2013): 2.7% @ 57, Average of 3 highest years

Non-Safety Members

  • Tier 2 (hired on or after 7/1/2011): 2% @ 55, Average of 3 highest years
  • Tier 3 PEPRA (hired on or after 1/1/2013): 2% @ 62, Average of 3 highest years

Insurance Coverage

Life Insurance/AD&D $150,000 Life Insurance policy and $150,000 AD&D benefit
Long Term Disability 66.67% of salary up to $7,500 per month

Additional Benefits

Gym Membership Reimbursement Up to $50 per month
Bilingual Pay (if eligible) Pay percentage varies by program and designation
Educational Incentive Incentive: $264.50 bi-monthly for Police Captain and Police Lieutenant who have received their POST Management Certificate
Expense Reimbursement  Up to $1,500 per fiscal year, details of eligibility and requirements are detailed in the MOU
Uniform Allowance  $885.00 for each 6 months of service ending June 30 and December 31

The SRPMMA employee group does not contribute to  Social Security.
