This Learning Lab Program will include "lab" sessions, trainings open to all employees, and team working sessions. Attendance of the trainings listed below in bold is required by Learning Lab participants, but also open to all employees to attend.

The following schedule indicates the week these meetings will occur. Specific dates will be available shortly; they will occur on either the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the week indicated and most likely in the morning. Team working sessions will be determined by each individual team.

August 15, 9 to 11 a.m., Boro Community Center All Employee Training #1 - Tech Tools. An introduction to all the tech tools available to employees along with examples of how to use them collaboratively. REGISTER
August 23, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Public Works breakroom Lab Session #1: Team Building + Intro to Human-Centered Design. Team building, team charters, defining a challenge statement, stakeholder identification, guidelines for stakeholder interviews and research.
August 29, 9 to 11 a.m., City Council Chambers All Employee Training #2 - Project Management for Collaboration. Revisit tech tools for collaboration, roles & responsibilities, structures for productive meetings, project planning, effective communication. REGISTER
Week of September 3 (2 hours) Team Working Session: Challenge scoping; team charter (roles & responsibilities), initial interviews/research to test challenge definition
September 12, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Public Works breakroom Lab Session #2: Further Refining the Challenge. Conducting interviews, summarizing research findings, incorporating feedback, and brainstorming.
Week of September 17 (2 hours) Team Working Session: Interviews, Observations, & Other Background Research; Refine Challenge Statements into "How Might We" Questions
September 27, 9 to 11 a.m., Boro Community Center All Employee Training #3 - Presentations & Storytelling. Public speaking, content design, visual design, and pitching/storytelling best practices. REGISTER
Week of October 1 (2 hours) Team Working Session: Ongoing interviews and/or observational research; Work with Mentors on building and testing prototypes.
October 11, 8:30 to 11:30, Public Works breakroom Lab Session #3: Revising & Evaluating Solutions. Incorporating feedback; building, testing, and revising prototypes, establishing success metrics, and beginning project plans.
Week of October 22 (2 hours) Team Working Session: Incorporate feedback into Prototypes; Complete project plans (storyboards for Demo Day), finalize success metrics, and Demo Day prep.
Week of October 29 (2 hours) Team Working Session: Prepare presentations for Demo Day
November 6, 9 to 11 a.m. Demo Day: Teams present (all employees encouraged to attend)
