OneDrive (Cloud-based storage)

What is stored here:  Confidential personnel files, collaborative SharePoint documents.
Who can access:

Your personal OneDrive is visible only to you unless you share files or folders with others.

The OneDrive Team Folders are visible to members of SharePoint Team sites.

Who cannot access:  Other members of your department cannot see your OneDrive files or folders unless you share them.
Why we use this:  The City is using this as a replacement to the U-Drive and for collaborative cloud-based file sharing with SharePoint Team Sites.

Description:

OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud-based file storage system. OneDrive can be accessed across multiple devices including mobile apps without VPN remote access. Files can be edited by simultaneous users and have version control, meaning they can be reverted to previous versions in the document’s history (similar to DropBox and Google Docs).
File Examples:  Personnel evaluations, private documents.
