Every elected official and public employee who makes or influences governmental decisions is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interest, also known as the Form 700. The Form 700 provides transparency and ensures accountability. Find out if your position has been selected as a designated employee. If you are a designated employee you are required to file an Assuming Office Statement within 30 days of assuming your new position, and you are required to file a Leaving Office Statement within 30 days of leaving a designated position. An up-to-date form may be found online at the Fair Political Practices Commission website.
