HOW TO FLAT LOAD 2 ½” HOSE BED WITH 150FT QUICK DEPLOY
- Pick up coupling
- Female coupling for a reverse loaded bed
- Place coupling
- In any rear corner of hose bed
- Near hose bed divider
- Usually center hose bed divider
- Lay hose line
- Flat load in hose bed
- Starting from coupling
- In a front to back or back to front manner
- Flat parallel
- Make folds
- At front and rear of hose bed
- Staggered
- Laying side by side
- Making a tight fold (loops)
- Place hose line
- Back on itself
- Until hose line is at the approximate midpoint of hose bed
- Lay hose line
- In a slight diagonal order
- To the rear of the apparatus
- So next flake will lay alongside the first
- Place hose line
- Back on itself
- To front of apparatus
- Over diagonal section
- Make each succeeding flake in the same manner
- Stagger coupling
- In hose bed
- Fully utilizing hose bed
- Preventing couplings from touching or interfering with folds
- Use Dutchman, short fold or reverse bend
- To position coupling for proper exit, if necessary
- Place hose line
- Back on itself
- When other side of the hose bed is reached
- To start the next tier
- Staggering each tier
- Approximately 4-6 inches front and back
- Continue to load hose line
- By the same method
- Until the last 150’
- Place female end of the 150’ coupling
- At front of the hose bed
- Against driver’s side bed rail
- Make 8” loop extending from bed
- Continue to load hose
- In flat load manner
- Until 100’ remain
- Place female end of 100’ coupling right next to 150’ coupling
- At front of hose bed
- Make a slightly larger loop than the first
- Continue to load hose
- In flat load manner
- Until 50’ remain
- Place female end of 50’coupling right next to 100’ coupling
- At front of hose bed
- Make a slightly larger loop than the second loop
- Continue to load hose
- In flat load manner
- Until the male coupling
- Attach 2 ½” nozzle to male coupling
- Tighten bail in the shut position
- Place nozzle on hose
