Whether it’s Police or Fire first responders, Parks and Library staff, or the Department of Public Work, this complex issue affects a significant number of employees in a variety of ways. San Rafael Director of Homeless Planning & Outreach Andrew Hening and Mental Health Resource Liaison Lynn Murphy developed this training to empower City staff. It is now being offered to public employees throughout Marin County. The training will:
    • Update you on the state of homelessness in Marin County
    • Detail local services for people experiencing homelessness
    • Provide actionable strategies for addressing "difficult customers"
    • Create an opportunity for networking with other agencies.
    This training will take place at San Rafael's City Hall. Food and drinks are not allowed in the Council Chambers, so please plan accordingly.
